The Kleť Observatory is a research institution and astronomical observatory situated in South Bohemia, near the town of České Budějovice. It is located at an altitude of 1,070 meters and has around 150 clear nights per year. The observatory has two primary telescopes and has discovered over a thousand asteroids and a comet. Visitors can also explore the surrounding area, which includes the highest mountain of the Blanský les range and the oldest stone observation tower in the Czech Republic, built in 1825, with a mountain chalet and restaurant.
