Šibenik is a historic town in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia, where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the oldest Croatian self-governing cities on the Adriatic, and the capital and cultural, educational, administrative, and economic center of Šibenik-Knin County. The city has a rich history, with multiple interpretations of how it was named, and was first mentioned in 1066 in a grant of Peter Krešimir IV. Šibenik is home to the Cathedral of St. James, a significant architectural achievement of the 15th and 16th centuries, which was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 2000. The city also features the Fortress of St. Nicholas, and has a long history of being an important cultural and economic center in the region

Activities: We stopped near Sibenik. We spent the morning at the beach and then drove to Dubrovnik. "In Croatia there are mostly stone beaches and in the sea you often find sea urchins." We bought water shoes for the little ones
Highlights: We loved the beach! We found a cheap apartment with parking. The water shoes were a great buy, making it easier for the kids to enjoy the beach ✨
