What to expect

Krka National Park is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional and multifaceted natural value, located along the middle-lower course of the Krka River in central Dalmatia. The park encompasses an area of 109 square kilometers and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. The Krka Waterfalls area has the second highest density of lavender in Europe, and the park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including 860 species and subspecies of plants, 18 species of fish, and 222 species of birds. Visitors can explore the park's many waterfalls, lakes, and hiking trails, and visit the Visovac Monastery and the Krka Monastery, two remarkable cultural monuments within the park
