Island of Sveti Andrija

Island Rovinj, Istarska Ĺľupanija, Croatia

What to expect

The Island of Sveti Andrija, also known as Red Island, is a beautiful island located near Rovinj. The island is covered with dense Mediterranean underbrush and old coniferous forest, and there are cultivated flower parks with paths near the hotels and annexes. The island has a large number of beaches, mainly stony beaches with typical coves covered with pebbles. The most frequented beaches are situated on the south side of the island, near the hotel and the annex, and offer numerous services such as a restaurant, pool, miniature golf courses, and a diver center. The island also has a few high rocks on the west side, which provide the possibility of diving into the sea, and a small part of the shore near the little port has been covered with gravel, making it suitable for children and seniors. The island is rich in cultural sites, including a castle that was once a reconstructed old church and a Benedictine monastery, and has been renovated into a hotel with art pieces by Alexander Kircher
