What to expect

The Museum of Torture Zagreb, also known as Tortureum, is a unique museum that showcases a collection of over 70 instruments of torture and execution from ancient times to the present day. Visitors can see, touch, and try out exhibits such as a full-scale replica of the 1792 guillotine, pendulum, rack, iron maiden, and scold's bridle. The museum also features a Dungeon, a miniature cool room in pitch blackness where visitors can experience the fear of torture. The museum provides multimedia guides in multiple languages, allowing visitors to learn more about the history of each exhibited instrument of torture.
