Mljet National Park is a national park located on the island of Mljet, in the south of Croatia. The park covers the western part of the island and includes two saltwater lakes, Veliko and Malo Jezero, as well as a sea belt 500 meters wide. The park is known for its lush Mediterranean vegetation, clear and clean sea, and a wealth of underwater sea life. Visitors can explore the park by cycling or strolling along the well-marked paths, kayaking, or swimming in the warmer waters of the lakes. The park is also home to a former Benedictine monastery, now a café/restaurant, located on a small island in the Large Lake.
