What to expect
Pile Gate is the main entrance to the walled city of Dubrovnik, a medieval town with a rich history. The gate is a grand stone structure with a drawbridge that leads to the city's main promenade, Stradun. Visitors can walk through the gate and explore the city's medieval walls, which offer stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. The gate is also a popular filming location, having been featured in the TV series Game of Thrones. Families can enjoy the nearby small fishing harbour and two further forts, Bokar and Lovrijenac. The gate is wheelchair accessible, and there is a ramp that allows visitors to access the Stradun without using the steps
