Parque Mario Cañas Ruiz is a central park in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is a hub for live music and concerts, and hosts the flame of independence. The park is also a practice ground for local dancers and musicians. Visitors can take a seat on one of the many benches and enjoy a granizado, a beverage made with crushed ice, sweet milk, and syrup, available in one of the carts at the border of the park. The Quiosco del Parque, a wooden kiosk, is one of the oldest in the country and is a representative example of vernacular architecture in Costa Rica.
