Mistico Hanging Bridges

Activities: We took our kids and every kid said this was one of their favorite things that we've done in the past 4 months of traveling. We walked about 3km through the jungle, and we got an up-close view of several different layers of the rain forest around us

Highlights: The highlight is of course, the hanging suspension bridges. There are a total of 16 bridges, but only 6 of those are hanging suspension bridges. The longest hanging bridge at Arenal is 97 meters long and 73 meters high ✨

Activities: We visited Mistico Hanging Bridges, which takes you through the jungle and across steel-cable bridges up in the canopy. We didn’t get a guide, but we still enjoyed the beautiful views and the chance to experience the rainforest from a different perspective

Highlights: The kids loved walking across the hanging bridges and looking down at the rainforest below. It was a great way to experience the rainforest up close ✨

Activities: Since our kids didn’t want to zip line, we did the Mistico hanging bridges instead. It may not have had the adrenaline, but it did have great views that we could actually stop and enjoy for a while. Mistico has 16 bridges hanging among the tops of the trees. And when you’re not on a bridge, you’ll be on a trail leading you through the jungle. Interpretive signs along the way point out when to really stop and listen

Activities: We walked through the park, exploring the jungle and crossing the 16 suspension bridges. We saw a few animals on our own, including an unknown snake, a viper snake, and some cool birds

Highlights: The kids felt more secure than had we done ziplines, which is why we chose it. We had a great time and were glad we visited Mistico Hanging Bridges ✨
