Laguna Buracona, also known as the Blue Eye, is a natural wonder located on the northwest coast of Sal. It is a small inlet along the rocky coast where sunlight filters through a hole in the rocks, transforming the scene into a mesmerising display resembling a bright blue eye. The juxtaposition of the vibrant blue water and the frothy white waves crashing against jagged rocks creates a stunning spectacle. Visitors can swim in a nearby natural pool and enjoy the view from a restaurant located on site. The surrounding area is pretty, with the mountain Monte Leste on one side and the rough ocean on the other. The Blue Eye is a great place to visit, especially during the morning when the sunlight is at the right angle to create the blue effect
