The Fortifications of Québec National Historic Site is a unique place that recalls the rich military and social past of the Historic District of Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage jewel. Visitors can explore the fortifications on foot with a guide and discover Old Quebec in a different way. The site features three historic buildings, including the Artillery Park, where visitors can encounter guides and costumed characters and travel through three centuries of social and military history. The fortifications also include the Battery and the Saint-Charles wall, which are currently undergoing major restoration work. The site offers various activities and experiences, including guided tours, costumed animations, family activities, and historical building visits. The Historic District of Old Québec was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee
