What to expect

The Canadian Potato Museum is a living testament to the humble tuber and those who have tilled the soil in its evolution. The museum showcases the history of potato through its historical interpretative centre and large collection of antique farming equipment. Visitors can learn about traditional harvesting processes, see the world's largest exhibit of potato-related farm machinery, and explore the community museum to learn about the local history of O'Leary. The museum also features a Country Kitchen serving potato-based meals, a Potato Blossom Boutique with souvenirs, and a giant potato sculpture for photo opportunities. Additionally, visitors can take a tour of a local potato farm to learn about the land, local agriculture, and Prince Edward Island's unique red soil

This family's experience:

Activities: We visited the Canadian Potato Museum! The museum is very well done and adapted to children. Lucie joined us only for the exhibition on tractors. We finished the day with a potato fudge!

Highlights: We really enjoyed the museum! Each room has a workshop for the youngest ones, including one with a hyper-realistic farm management simulation game. It was just royal! ✨
