Awenda Provincial Park is a great place for families to visit, with its 2,900 hectares of forested land on the shores of Georgian Bay, 31 kilometers of trails, and private and shaded campsites. The park offers various activities such as camping, swimming, canoeing, and hiking. It also features a kettle lake, sand, cobble, and boulder beaches, and a diverse range of plant and animal life, including 32 species of amphibians and reptiles. The park has six public campgrounds with approximately 330 sites available, as well as 5 beaches and over 30 kilometers of hiking trails. The trails include the Robitaille Homestead Trail and the Wendat Trail, which offer opportunities for wildlife viewing, including birds such as the blue heron and loons
