Prince's Island Park is an urban park located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is situated on an island in the Bow River and is connected to the north and south banks of the river by footbridges. The park was created in the 1950s and named after Peter Anthony Prince, a lumberman from Quebec who founded the Eau Claire Lumber Mill. The park features a constructed wetland, an interpretive trail, picnic sites, a playground, and a paved pathway. It is also home to the River Café and hosts various festivals and events, including the Calgary Folk Music Festival. The park has a total area of 49.5 acres and is operated by the City of Calgary. The Chevron Learning Pathway is an environmental educational pathway on the east end of the park, which explains how a wetland works and presents information about wildlife, habitat, and water quality.
