Mistaya Canyon

Canyon Alberta, Alberta, Canada

What to expect

Mistaya Canyon is a canyon in the western part of the Canadian province of Alberta, formed by the Mistaya River. The canyon has distinctive curvy canyon walls and is easy to access. There is a 1.8 km trail that loops around and across the canyon, with a bridge that gives great views directly into the steep limestone canyon. The trail is considered easy and takes less than an hour to complete. For safety, it's recommended to stick to the path and avoid wandering off-trail onto the slippery rocks on the canyon edge
