Glacier Lake is a glacial lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. It is the fourth largest lake in the park and is surrounded by mountains, including Mount Outram, Division Mountain, Mount Erasmus, and Survey Peak. The lake is fed and discharged by the Glacier River, which is a tributary of the Howse River. The lake can be accessed via a trail that starts near Saskatchewan River Crossing along the Icefields Parkway. The trail is approximately 10.5 miles out and back, with an elevation gain of 2,887 feet, and takes around 6 hours to complete. The trail offers stunning views, peaceful camping, and an easy-to-follow path. The campsite has an outhouse, bear pole with cables, and two fire pit areas, as well as a rustic cabin for emergency shelter. The lake is a great destination for hiking, camping, and running, and is suitable for families with children
