What to expect

The Siem Reap Killing Fields, also known as Wat Thmey Killing Fields, is a memorial site and former execution ground of the Khmer Rouge regime. The site features a large stupa memorial with glass sides, filled with the skulls and bones of those who died during the Khmer Rouge. Visitors can see the Museum, exhibits, and the infamous well, and learn about the brutality of the Khmer Rouge from a survivor of the regime. The site serves as a Buddhist monastery and a memorial site, where people come to pay homage and remember those who lost their lives in the Cambodia Killing Fields. The Killing Fields are a somber reminder of the devastating effects of the Khmer Rouge regime, which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.5-2 million people
