Tsarevo is a town and seaside resort located on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, at the eastern foot of Strandzha mountain. The town has a rich history, with underwater archaeological surveys discovering amphoras from the Late Antiquity and imported red-polished pottery made in Constantinople, Syria, and North Africa. The town was first mentioned as Vasiliko in the 12th century and was an Ottoman port in the 15th and 16th centuries. Today, Tsarevo is a popular tourist destination, with 16 beach strips along its coastline and a modern yacht marina. The town has a unique combination of mountain, sea, and rivers, making it an ideal location for eco-tourism, sports hunting, diving, and yachting.
