The Dancing Bears Park, also known as BEAR SANCTUARY Belitsa, is a sanctuary located in the Rila Mountains, near the town of Belitsa, Bulgaria. The park was established in 2000 to provide a safe haven for rescued brown bears, most of which were former 'dancing bears' from Bulgaria, Serbia, and Albania. The sanctuary offers its inhabitants a natural environment with dense forests, hills, meadows, and ponds, allowing them to rediscover their instincts and behave naturally. The park is a unique tourist site, providing visitors with the opportunity to observe and learn about the bears in a responsible and respectful manner

Activities: We visited the Dancing Bears Park, where we saw brown bears living in a natural environment. We were greeted by a guide who showed us around the park and introduced us to each of the bears
Highlights: I found it very interesting to learn that female bears hibernate while pregnant and give birth without feeling anything, and the cubs snuggle up to them until it's time to wake up ✨
