The Rio Beni is a river in the north of Bolivia, specifically in the Beni region, near the city of Rurrenabaque. It rises north of La Paz and flows northeast, eventually emptying into the Madre de Dios River at Riberalta, near the Bolivia-Brazil border. The river flows through highland forest, rainforest, and the Llanos de Moxos, also known as the Beni Savanna. The Beni River has several minor tributaries, including the Emero River, and is joined by the Madidi River and the Tuichi River, which flow through Madidi National Park. The river has a length of 1,100 km and an average discharge of 2,875 m3/s at its mouth
