Barton Creek Cave is a natural cave in Belize, known as both an archaeological site and a tourist destination. It is a primarily single-passage resurging stream cave with stunning cathedral-like chambers and wide passages. The cave has a rich history, with evidence of use by the Maya between the Early Classic and Late Classic periods. Visitors can explore the cave by canoe, gliding through the breathtaking, live mineral formations. The cave is also home to the remains of at least 28 individuals, found on the ten natural ledges along the river. With its unique history and amazing rock formations, Barton Creek Cave is an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages
