What to expect
Vandans is a municipality in the Montafon region of Vorarlberg, Austria. The municipality has a population of 2,828 people and covers an area of 53.44 km². It is situated at an altitude of 648 meters above sea level. The municipality consists of several villages, including Außervens, Daleu, Innerbach, Innervens, Rellstal, Rodund, and Zwischenbach. Vandans has a long history, with the first settlers arriving in the 10th century. The municipality has a strong focus on tourism, with many outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing available in the surrounding mountains. Montafon with children: Tips for your family holiday in Vorarlberg
Activities: We spent the day at the Golm experience mountain. We took the Golmerbahn up to the Grüneck mountain station. We hiked, slid, climbed, and tobogganed down into the valley. We chose the adventure ticket, which included the forest rope park, the forest slide park, the Flying Fox, and the Alpine Coaster Golm
Highlights: The kids were super excited because they remembered learning to ski there. The variety of activities, like hiking, sliding, and the Alpine Coaster, made it a fun family experience. We spent an hour longer on Golmi's research path ✨

Family holiday on the ski slopes
Activities: We went to Golm, a family-friendly ski area with a ski school. We used the lifts and gondolas. The kids went to the Golmi-Land for ski school, while the adults enjoyed the slopes. "We had a lot of fun."
Highlights: The kids loved the Golmi-Land and the ski school. They were excited to go on the "real piste" and loved the Hexenwald (witch forest). The adults enjoyed the challenging slopes and the beautiful scenery. "The mountains are gigantic. The snow glitters in the sun." ✨

Activities: We started with Golmi’s Research Path, an adventure hiking trail with 22 discovery and interactive stations. Then, the kids were thrilled by the Waldrutschenpark Golm, the largest of its kind in Europe, with seven slides! We also visited the Waldseilpark Golm, with a Zwergle Parcours for the little ones
Highlights: The kids loved Golmi’s Research Path, especially digging for gemstones. They also had a blast at the Waldrutschenpark Golm: “a little wild, but not too wild, and really super fun!” The Alpine Coaster was a hit too, with its 8-minute ride being the best summer toboggan run! ✨
