What to expect

The Lünersee is a beautiful lake located at 1970 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Schesaplana mountain in the Rätikon range. It is considered the turquoise gem of the Rätikon mountains and is surrounded by mountain peaks, rugged rocks, and soft green pastures. The lake's crystal-clear water emanates a wonderful turquoise gleam is a sight to behold. The Lünersee is a popular tourist attraction and can be accessed by the Lünersee gondola or via the hiking trail 'Böser Tritt'. Activities: We went to the Lünersee. We took the Lünerseebahn up to the lake. We walked around the lake on the 6 km long Rundweg. We visited the playground and then enjoyed a late lunch at the Douglass-Hütte

Highlights: The kids loved the playground at the top of the Lünerseebahn. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the easy walk around the lake. The Douglass-Hütte had a great atmosphere ✨

Activities: We went to the Lünersee. We started the day with a climbing course. Fredi, our guide, showed us the most important knot for securing and how to use a special belay device. Flo and Ben started climbing. We learned how to abseil. The course was cut short due to a thunderstorm

Highlights: The kids were really excited and wanted to climb. They loved the hands-on experience and the challenge. Fredi's guidance made the whole experience fun and safe ✨

Lünersee circular trail - easy hike with children

This family's experience:

Activities: We did the Lünersee Rundweg, a 6km loop around the lake. We walked over the dam, enjoyed the views, and walked by Gebirgsbächen. It took us 3.5 hours with our three children

Highlights: The first part of the trail was exciting. "The first part of the trail… is also clearly more varied". The second half took a bit longer, but the views were worth it. We also liked the Douglasshütte at the start of the trail ✨
