Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark

Park Vienna, Vienna, Austria

What to expect

The Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark is a large park in Vienna, covering an area of approximately 354,000 square meters. It was originally designed in the style of an English landscape garden and features several historic elements, including a classical-style Lusthaus, a Badegrotte, and a Gedenkstein dedicated to the poet Johann Baptist von Alxinger. The park also has a large meadow with a playground and petting zoo, as well as two small football fields. It is a popular destination for families and offers a peaceful escape from the city. The park is home to various rare animals and plants, including the Hohltaube, Äskulapnatter, and Mittelspecht, and has several protected biotopes. Visitors can also see the 'Singendes Quartett', four figures from the former Ringtheater, which were rescued after a fire and now stand in the park

Animal excursions in Vienna with children: petting zoo & zoo
This family's experience:

Activities: We visited Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark, a park with a petting zoo. The kids could experience goats and sheep up close and feed them. There are also extensive meadows, old trees and ponds for walks and picnics. The park has great playgrounds, including an adventure playground

Highlights: The kids were always thrilled with the sheep! It is a great destination for babies, toddlers and older children. We enjoyed the playgrounds and the opportunity to relax with the kids ✨
