What to expect
The Almkogel is a beautiful hike rising above the Mondsee in the Salzkammergut region. The hike is relatively easy and offers fantastic views across the region. It's a great place to visit with family and friends, especially during the spring and summer months when wildflowers are in abundance. The hike can be done as a loop, taking around three hours to complete, and offers a peaceful forest walk. The trail is considered intermediate and is suitable for hikers of all ages

Activities: We did a hike on the nearby Almkogel. It was a very beautiful, steep path through the forest, where you had to scramble quite a bit, which increased the hiking fun factor, especially for the boys
Highlights: The hike on the Almkogel was fun, especially the scrambling part. After an hour and a half with 400 meters uphill, we reached the summit cross and deserved a break ✨
