The Pöstlingbergbahn is a 2880 meter long narrow-gauge mountain railway in Linz, connecting the Urfahr district with the Pöstlingberg. The railway was originally built as a meter-gauge railway in 1897 and was converted to 900 mm gauge between 2008 and 2009. It is now part of the Linz tram network and is operated by Linz Linien GmbH. The Pöstlingbergbahn is considered one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world, with a maximum gradient of 116‰.
