What to expect
The Vorderer Langbathsee is a nature reserve with crystal clear water, free natural beaches, and breathtaking mountain scenery. The lake offers awesome hiking trails and is suitable for swimming, with average summer water temperatures of 22-25 degrees. Dogs are not allowed on the bathing areas but are permitted on leashes when walking around the lakes. The nearby Hinterer Langbathsee is an absolute nature reserve and can be reached within a 45-minute walk. The lakes are popular for diving due to their excellent visibility and are surrounded by beautiful alpine scenery, making them a great destination for families and nature lovers

Activities: We walked the Vorderer Langbathsee path, which is easy and stroller-friendly. We went around the lake, which took about an hour, but we stopped to enjoy the scenery and let the kids play. "There are many accesses to the water, small wooded areas and a stream."
Highlights: The kids loved the variety along the path, including the water access, small wooded areas, a stream, and seeing ducks and fish. Valentin especially enjoyed looking for fish at every water access ✨

Activities: We visited the Vorderer Langbathsee, my personal favorite of the Traunsee trips with children. It's possible to walk around with a stroller. We were able to complete the Rundwanderung the second time. We spent time exploring the lake, collecting stones, and watching fish and ducks
Highlights: We found the Vorderer Langbathsee wonderful. The Rundwanderung takes about an hour, but expect more time with children. Our children wanted to stop and explore the lake, collecting stones and throwing them in the water, watching fish and ducks ✨
