Tulfes

Nature reserve Tulfes, Tyrol, Austria

What to expect

Tulfes is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol, located 12 km east of Innsbruck and 6 km above Hall in Tirol. The village is particularly enchanting thanks to its sunny location on an inviting plateau above the Inntal valley. Diverse and varied hikes for every level of ability in the natural area of the Tux Alps make Tulfes a true leisure paradise. The Glungezer, Tulfes' local mountain, offers breathtaking views of the Karwendel massif opposite and far into the Inntal valley. The Zirbenweg, with one of the largest Swiss stone pine stands in Europe, invites young and old to discover nature. In winter, the Glungezer ski area is a paradise for families with small children and those returning to skiing. The 'Klumper fun' is a unique winter sport experience, where visitors can try their hand at a descent on a single-skid toboggan
