Kranzhorn

Trail Erl, Tyrol, Austria

What to expect

Kranzhorn is a 1,366m mountain in the Chiemgau Alps, located on the border between Austria and Germany. The mountain offers a popular hiking trail with a gentle ascent through the forest, followed by a steeper climb to the summit. At the top, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the rolling Bavarian foothills and the rugged Tyrolean mountains. The Kranzhorn hut, operated by Mich and Inge Anker, provides traditional Tyrolean fare, coffee, and cake, as well as a petting zoo, playground, and 'dog bar' for families with children and their four-legged friends.
