What to expect
Schloss Lackenbach is a water castle located in the Burgenland region of Austria, specifically in the city of Lackenbach. The castle was built between 1548 and 1552 and has undergone several expansions and renovations throughout its history. It features a two-story main building, a long, single-story economic building, and a administrator's wing. The castle's water moat is partially preserved, and the main portal still has the remains of the former drawbridge. Today, the castle serves as a nature museum and hosts exhibitions on the history of the castle and the noble hunt. Visitors can explore the castle's grounds and learn about its rich history

Activities: We started with a tour through the green outdoor area. There is a large playground where the children can let off steam. There is also a stream where the children can take a closer look at the animals of the stream with magnifying glasses. We strolled through the area and learned a lot about the history of the castle
Highlights: Nunu especially liked the “Naschgarten”, where he tasted different types of berries. In the pond of the castle area we even saw a grass snake and frogs! It has a large playground where the children can let off steam ✨
