Kings Park is one of the world's largest and most beautiful inner city parks, rich in Aboriginal and European history, contemporary culture, and innovative design. The park is home to the spectacular Western Australian Botanic Garden, which displays over 3,000 species of the State's unique flora. Two-thirds of the 400-hectare park is protected as bushland, providing a haven for native biological diversity. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the Swan and Canning Rivers, the city skyline, and the Darling Ranges to the east. The park offers bushland walk trails, immaculate gardens, and parklands, as well as a variety of children's discovery play areas. Kings Park is also home to the State War Memorial, the Royal King's Park Tennis Club, and the Mount Eliza Reservoir. The park hosts Australia's largest wildflower show and exhibition, the Kings Park Festival, and has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1831
