John Forrest National Park is a great place for families to visit, with its scenic views, walk and bicycle trails, historic buildings, and abundant wildlife. The park offers excellent bush walking, cycling along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, and scenic drives. Visitors can go walking along one of the trails through rugged wilderness or along a disused railway line to the historic Swan View rail tunnel and spectacular waterfalls in winter. The park is home to many native birds, kangaroos, and bandicoots, and in springtime, wildflowers color the landscape. There are great picnic facilities and extensive walk trails, making it an ideal destination for families. The park also has a rich cultural significance, with the Whadjuk people being the traditional owners of the land
