Cable Beach is a 22 km stretch of white sand beach on the eastern Indian Ocean, with low cliffs of red ochre rising behind the very flat and wide beach. The beach offers many great activities, including swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing, and camel rides. Visitors can also explore the dunes and self-guided walking trails of Minyirr Park, or climb aboard a boat to chart a course along the coast. The beach is home to a clothes-optional area and is a popular spot for watching the sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from May to October, and toilets, showers, and change facilities are available. The beach is also a nesting site for turtles between October and February, and visitors can see dinosaur footprints in the rocks at low tide
