The Paddle Steamer Melbourne is a celebrated piece of Murray River heritage, constructed in 1912 and launched in 1913. The Melbourne is 98 feet long, 21 feet wide, and can carry 300 passengers. It is equipped with a twin-cylinder compound steam engine and has a cruising speed of 11 miles per hour.
