Brighton Beach

Brighton is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 11 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Bayside local government area. Brighton recorded a population of 23,252 at the 2021 census. The area is known for its beautiful beaches, historic bathing boxes, and stately homes. The suburb has a rich history, with the first land purchase in 1840 and the establishment of the Brighton Post Office in 1853. Brighton is also home to several churches, schools, and other amenities, making it a popular residential area
