Lorne Main Beach is a popular beach tourist resort town located on the Great Ocean Road, between Aireys Inlet and Wye River. The beach is patrolled during the summer months and is a perfect spot for families to relax and unwind. The two-kilometre beach is safer than most, with Point Grey affording the shoreline considerable protection. The beach is surrounded by lush lawns, gum trees, and picnic and barbecue facilities, making it an ideal destination for outdoor entertaining. The Lorne Surf Life Saving Club has a Mobi-Chair available for free hire, and a hoist is available on site. The beach also has beach wheelchair and hoist, beach access matting, disabled parking, and disabled toilet facilities. Families can enjoy scenic walks, such as the Doug Stirling Walking Track, which runs beside the main beach and offers excellent views of the town and its main beach. The track also passes beside several shady picnic areas and has elevated sections that provide stunning views of the coastline
