Koala Conservation Centre

Wildlife watching Cowes, Victoria, Australia

What to expect

The Koala Conservation Reserve offers a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with koalas in their natural habitat. Visitors can wander along the treetop boardwalks and get up close to the koalas as they go about their daily business of sleeping, eating, and sleeping some more. The reserve also features six hectares of Australian bushland, where visitors can explore and spot other native wildlife such as wallabies, echidnas, and colorful native birds. The new visitor centre has interactive displays that uncover the amazing lives of koalas, and the Manna Gum Café is available for a coffee or snack. A native seed station allows visitors to collect and plant a seed to take home and create a thriving native habitat in their own backyard. The reserve also features a Nature Play area where children can create their own adventures with nature and wildlife-inspired installations
