The O'Keefe Rail Trail is a 49km trail suited to walkers and cyclists that runs through native forests, rich farmland, waterways, and past heritage spots. The trail takes you through majestic native forests, rich farmland, picturesque waterways, and past Bendigo heritage spots. It's a great day out for individuals, couples, and families, with plenty of access points and numerous experiences along the trail, including restaurants, wineries, accommodation, family attractions, and bike services to support riders. The trail also features replica railway stations, an original railway wagon, and regular interpretative signs outlining the history of the trail's development. Families can enjoy the diversity of natural environments, landmarks, and shops and cafes not far from the trail. The trail is also home to wildlife such as wallabies, kangaroos, and koalas, and features beautiful wildflowers along the way
