The Adelaide Himeji Garden is a traditionally-styled Japanese garden, featuring two classic Japanese garden styles: the 'senzui' (lake and mountain garden) and the 'kare-senzui' (dry garden). The garden is designed to evoke the presence of water and the sea, with carefully selected plants, ornamentation, and a lake. Visitors can sit beside the 'kare senzui' dry garden, where patterns combed into the rocks and sand create images of vastness and grandeur, or perch on a rock by the water in the 'senzui' lake and mountain garden. The garden also features a tea house, a water bowl for purification, and an Okunoin Lantern gifted by the City of Himeji. The garden is a great place for deep meditation and contemplation, and its design principles are still in evidence today
