The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a 7.5-kilometre scenic tourist cableway that runs above the Barron Gorge National Park, in the Wet Tropics of Queensland’s World Heritage Area. It journeys through the Wet Tropics Rainforest, home to the world's oldest tropical rainforest, older than the Amazon Rainforest. The cableway includes six-person gondola cabins that glide metres above the treetops, offering a unique perspective of the ancient landscape. Visitors can explore the rainforest close up at two rainforest stations, Red Peak and Barron Falls, which feature boardwalks, education about the World Heritage area, and complimentary ranger guided tours. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a great place for families to visit and learn about the ancient tropical rainforest together
