Cairns Aquarium is a public aquarium that showcases the stunning aquatic wildlife from Tropical North Queensland's two World Heritage-listed areas – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest. The aquarium features 71 different exhibits, including a 1,800,000 L ocean tank, Australia's largest freshwater tank, and a deep reef tank. Visitors can journey through the waterways from freshwater rivers to the Great Barrier Reef, discovering 11 amazing North Queensland ecosystems. The aquarium offers interactive experiences, such as animal presentations, habitat talks, and a marine touch tank. Families can also enjoy the Aquarium by Twilight tour, which includes a guided tour and a three-course dinner at Dundee's Restaurant. The aquarium is home to over 15,000 animals, including endangered and rarely seen species, and is also an interactive research and education centre
