Cairns Aquarium is a public aquarium that showcases the stunning aquatic wildlife from Tropical North Queensland's two World Heritage-listed areas – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest. The aquarium features 71 different exhibits, including a 1,800,000 L ocean tank, Australia's largest freshwater tank, and a deep reef tank. Visitors can journey through the waterways from freshwater rivers to the Great Barrier Reef, discovering 11 amazing North Queensland ecosystems.
