What to expect

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an 18-hectare koala sanctuary in the Brisbane suburb of Fig Tree Pocket in Queensland, Australia. It is the oldest and largest koala sanctuary of its kind in the world, founded in 1927 to provide a safe refuge to sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. The sanctuary houses approximately 80 species of Australian animals, including koalas, kangaroos, platypus, and various bird species. Visitors can feed and pet the free-roaming kangaroos, and get close to some koalas. The sanctuary also features a 'Koala Forest' enclosure, a bird of prey show, and a koala science and research facility. The sanctuary is a family-friendly place where visitors can hand-feed kangaroos and meet a variety of Australian wildlife in beautiful, natural settings
