The Tennant Creek Telegraph Station is an historical site located about 16 kilometres north of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia. The station was built in 1872 as part of the Overland Telegraph Line, which connected Darwin to Adelaide. The site features several historic buildings made of local stone, including a telegraph station, blacksmith shop, cart shed, ration store, meat house, smokehouse, and cellar. The station played a significant role in the region's history, serving as a refuge and supply point for travellers and a key part of the colonial telegraph system. Visitors can take a self-guided walk around the reserve and explore the historic buildings. The discovery of gold in the area in 1925 led to the establishment of the Tennant Creek township, and the telegraph station was eventually closed in 1935
