What to expect

Karlu Karlu / Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve is a protected area in the Northern Territory of Australia, featuring large granitic boulders that have been shaped by natural processes of weathering and erosion. The reserve is of great cultural and spiritual significance to the Aboriginal traditional owners of the land and protects one of the oldest religious sites in the world. The boulders are situated in a wide and shallow desert valley and are found in scattered groups mainly in the western side of the reserve. Visitors can explore the area through short walks and learn about the geological and cultural significance of the site through informative signs and guided activities. The reserve also offers camping facilities and is a popular tourist destination, especially during the cooler months from May to August
