Kellys Falls picnic area is a beautiful spot to get back to nature, with water cascading over rocks and dropping into a pool, providing a relaxing soundtrack. The area offers scenic lookouts with views of waterfalls and rainforest-lined gullies, as well as opportunities for birdwatching, with satin bowerbirds, honeyeaters, and wattle birds attracted by the flowering banksia, hakea, grevillea, and towering Gymea lilies. The area has walking tracks, including bushwalking links to Stanwell Tops and Illawarra Escarpment, which take you to the northern suburbs of Wollongong. The picnic area has step-free access, but there are no pathways, and the walking tracks have relatively steep and eroded sets of steps
