Perry Sandhills

Sand dune Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia

What to expect

The Perry Sandhills are a unique land formation of 400 acres of continuously shifting sand dunes, located six kilometres outside of Wentworth. They are ancient and include Aboriginal cultural heritage areas, with evidence of prehistoric animals and Aboriginal use of the area still being uncovered as the sands drift. The sandhills have been used as a backdrop in many films and television shows and are also used for events such as Music Under The Stars, part of the Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival. The area is family-friendly and welcomes people with access needs, with facilities including a car park, coach parking, and public toilets available
