Penguin Expedition

Aquarium exhibit Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

What to expect

The Penguin Expedition is an attraction at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium where visitors can get up close and personal to a colony of King and Gentoo Penguins. The attraction is inspired by Macquarie Island, an Australian sub-Antarctic island, and features a research raft that takes visitors through a rugged, sub-Antarctic environment surrounded by penguins, snow, and the stunning southern lights. Visitors can also learn about the penguins and conservation efforts. Additionally, the aquarium offers a Penguin Encounter experience where visitors can suit up in sub-Antarctic snow gear and get onto the ice with the penguins, as well as go behind the scenes to see the penguin food preparation area and learn about the state-of-the-art exhibit
