Old Government House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 11 Australian Convict Sites. It is the oldest surviving public building in Australia and was used as a 'country residence' by the first ten Governors of New South Wales. The house is now a museum, managed by the National Trust of Australia, and features a collection of Australian colonial furniture. The grounds are of particular interest, with evidence of Aboriginal occupation and 'firestick' land management. The house is situated in Parramatta Park, which is home to over 80 items of cultural significance, including buildings, relics, historic plantings, and archaeological sites
