Lancer Barracks is a historic military facility and grounds in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. It is the longest continuously operational military facility in Australia since colonial settlement. The barracks were constructed between 1818 and 1820 to replace earlier buildings that were in a state of disrepair. Lancer Barracks is home to the 1st/15th Royal New South Wales Lancers, an armoured cavalry unit, and features several historic buildings, including the Two-Storey Building, Bob's Hall, and Linden House, which houses the Lancer Association Museum. The museum showcases the history of the Lancers and is open to the public. The barracks also feature a parade ground, drill hall, and other facilities. Lancer Barracks is significant for its historical and architectural importance, and its association with the Lancers, one of Australia's oldest and most decorated regiments
