Elizabeth Bay House is a heritage-listed Colonial Regency style house and museum, known as 'the finest house in the colony'. It was built between 1835 and 1839 for Alexander Macleay, the Colonial Secretary, and features a central elliptical saloon with a domed lantern and geometric staircase.
